He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sphar and Minnie Sphar; his son Leon Sphar; his siblings, Ruth Jay Heffner and Robert Sphar; his stepsister Viola; his grandson Joe Polhamus; his great grandchild Bonnie Sphar; and his son-in-law Cliff Polhamus Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lois Sphar; his children, Delena Polhamus, Bruce Sphar (Sharolyn), Minelva Ridenour (James Boggs) and Theressa Hammar (John); and his sister Shirley Williams (Jimmy). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.
