He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans F. Sonner and Effie D. Shiverdecker (Bentley); his granddaughter Josie; and his siblings, Gloria Murphy and Greg Sonner.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Sonner of Florida; his children, John Bentley (Nicole Sonner) of St. Henry, Tim Sonner (Jay Fisher) of Columbus and Heather (Greg Coby) of Ostrander, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Lilly Sonner and Lola Coby.
