He is survived by: his sons, Kent Steven Burnside (Jeni) of Franklin, TN and Benjamin Richard Burnside (Leah) of Columbia, SC; and his sister Judge Janet Burnside of Cleveland Heights, OH.. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name as he wished to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, Memphis-TN.
