He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Iva Pearl Whittaker; his wife Deanne Marker Whittaker; his son Ronald Rodeffer; and his siblings, Chalmer Whittaker, Gerald Whittaker, Jack Whittaker, Donald Whittaker, Marie Garbig, Elnora Marshall, Emma Frederick and Dorothy Sullenbarger.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Hess (John), Cathy Robison and Rusty Whittaker (Rose); his sisters, Vera Marshall and Nola Coning; and his sister-in-law Sandra Marker. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
