He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bixler and Myrtle Bixler (Berry); and his siblings, Marie Alsbaugh and Junior Bixler. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bixler (Lecklider) of Greenville; his children, Brad Bixler (Lisa) of Troy, Jeff Bixler of Greenville, Doug Bixler of Pitsburg and Jodi Whittaker (Aaron) of Pleasant Hill; his grandsons, Marcus Bixler (Abby), Gavin Bixler (Cassandra), James Whittaker and Andrew Whittaker; and his great grandchildren, Paxson Bixler, Gus Bixler, Wyatt Bixler, Owen Bixler, Brady Bixler and Nila Bixler.

Memorial Contributions be given to EverHeart Hospice or the Brethren Home Resident's Aid Fund, both of Greenville.
