He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Fitzgerald and Mary Fitzgerald (Wilson); his siblings, Charles Fitzgerald, Betty Silcott, Joan Messmore, Marylou Newbauer, Norma Baker and Marthalie Tracey; and his grandson Patrick Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Fitzgerald of Greenville; his brother Robert Fitzgerald (Maxine) of Greenville; his children, Donald Fitzgerald II (Kay) of Kentucky, David Fitzgerald of Ansonia, Ted Fitzgerald (Diana) of Greenville and Anne Fitzgerald (Jeff Raymond) of Greenville; and his stepdaughters, Kim Bohler of Greenville and Karrie Quigney of Greenville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or Everheart Hospice.
