He was predeceased by: his father Harold Crandall; his son Thomas Crandall; and his brother Harold Crandall. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Crandall (Ciancarelli); his children, Mary Snyder (Christopher) of Bernardsville, Alicia Crandall (Scott Hohnstein) of Missoula and Montana; his daughter-in-law Jenny Siegrist of Celina, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Nicholas, Katie and Kelsey; his great grandchild Rhett; his siblings, Gail Carrillo (John) of Sterling, Doug Crandall (Rachel) of Prophetstown and Diana Verkruysse (Kent) of Prophetstown; and his sister-in-law Pam Crandall of Rock Falls, Illinois. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
