He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Keesy; his siblings, Jim, Keith and Carol; and his nephews, Paul and Mike.
He is survived by: his pet Toshi; and his children, Karyl Kindell, Kent Keesy and Kris Keesy-Collier (Rob). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
During COVID quarantine, to combat boredom, he studied and became certified as a strength and conditioning coach.
