He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Hayes, Sr. and Nadine V. Clemens (Wood); his stepfather Wayne Clemens; his siblings, Artha Deena Crawley, Alberta Plessinger, Frederick D. Hayes and Arthur "Ed" Hayes, Jr.; his aunt Mildred "Wanetta"; his uncle Vance Wissinger; and his grandchild Hunter Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Margie"; his pet Boots "Booty"; his daughter-in-law Chris Hayes (Margaret); his daughters, Cindy Burk (Keith) and Heather Westbrock (Mark); his sister Melva "Kay" Lacey; his grandchildren, Emily Trick (Tyler), Ally Bruner (Carson), Annie Hayes, Lilly Hayes, Adam Hayes, Bryan Hayes, Abby Hayes (Trevor Hawkey), Dakota Curtis (Stevee), Darien Burk (Brianna), Keith Burk (Shelbey), Dustin Burk, Katie Burk (Preston Runyon), Isabella Burk, Anna Burk, Christian Burk and Maria Westbrock; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Evan Hawkey, Stella Burk, Kayson Burk and Dean Burk.

“I just heard about Al’s passing and am very sorry for your loss Margie, Chris and family. Al was a GREAT man in ever way and I have very fond memories of him. I first met Al in the 70’s when he coached our little league baseball team, the Chiefs. I instantly connected to his sense of humor and love of the game. Lessons he taught in those early years stayed with me for a lifetime. I’m my view, the world is a much better place and we are better people because of him. RIP Al Hayes.🙏 Mark Evans”
