He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Kauffman; and his brothers, Hansel, Hilton, Ray Brown and Roger Dixon.
He is survived by: his children, Kay Ward (Lloyd), Freddie Dixon (Karen) and Tonya Siembor (James). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
