He is survived by: his mother Joyce Penn Smith (Richard) of Bainbridge; his son Lance Dennis; his siblings, Cheryl Kay Saxour (John), Kelly Smith of New Holland, Charles Lowell "Bub" Smith of Virginia Beach, VA and Gerald Eric Smith of Highland; his close friend Linda Erskine; and his nieces and nephews, April, Savannah (Travis), Chase Yates, Courtney, Hailey, Nathan Murray, Chad Smith (Heather), Teddy, Ella, Jagger Smith, Drake Ecton, Jake Smith, Anna, Tommy Thompson, Ronnie and Chris Houseman.
