He was predeceased by: his parents, Burch Purdin and Ida Purdin (Setty); his siblings, James, Donald, George, Eileen and Virginia; and his son-in-law Darrell Binegar.
He is survived by: his wife Ellamae Purdin (Vince); his children, Gary Purdin (Cindy) of Hillsboro and Sharon Binegar of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Michael Taylor (Delana) and Cindy Mitzel (Adam); and his sister Patricia Fulmer of Greenfield. He is also survived by four step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren.
