He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Lightner and Wilma Jean Lightner (Newman); and his siblings, David, Sterley Lightner and Karen Hester.
He is survived by: his wife Relna C. Lightner (Kinzer); his sons, James Lightner (Tiffany) of Leesburg, Michael Lee Lightner (Melissa) of Paris, KY, Nicholas Lightner of Greenfield and Dustin Lightner (Christie) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Leisure, Jessica Rhoades, Taylor James, Ryan White, Zachary Lightner, Oistin Lightner, Colin Lightner, Kadence Lightner, Rylann Lightner, Gabby Lowe and Donnie Lowe; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Tatum Lightner; and his siblings, Dale Lightner (Penny) of West Virginia, Margaret Hatfield of Leesburg, Beverly Jane Eidenier (Harry) of Leesburg and Alice Eidenier (Keith) of Hillsboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
