He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mootispaw and Anna Mae Mootispaw (Mart); his wife Barbara Ann Mootispaw (Cartwright); his daughter Pamela Fannon; his grandson Shawn W. Simmons; his brothers, Buster, Genie, Mike and Stephen Mootispaw; and his brother-in-law Bill Ewry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Cornett (James) of Greenfield, Polly Roberts (Paul) of Hillsboro and Kim McCloud (Tony) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Randy Shumaker, Jennifer Duty, Joshua Fannon, John Simmons, II, Amber Jackman, Ashley Beaver, Alainnie Roberts, Tony McCloud, Jr. and Elizabeth Krebs; his sisters, Debbie Ewry of Greenfield and Erma Kelly (John) of Greenfield; and his close friend Leroy Chaney of Chillicothe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
