She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward and Myrtle Marie Hamilton (Carman); her husband David Lee Smith; her former husband James G. Grimsley; her stepdaughters, Barbara Lee Smith and Deborah Gale Hammel; her grandsons, Tyler Stanforth and Miles Baxla; and her brother Edward B. Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, James M. Grimsley (Vicki) of Liberty, John M. Grimsley (Johanna) of Meade, Kentucky, Joan M. Buehlman (Paul) of Honeoye, Julia M. Baxla of Greenfield and Marilyn Dee Carpenter of Hillsboro; and her siblings, W. Ray Storts (Vicki) of Chillicothe, Michael Beechler (Helen) of Michigan and Rita Beechler of Indiana. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home (380 Jefferson St, Greenfield, OH 45123). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
