He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gillespie and Lucille Gillespie (Ross); his great grandchild Henry James Davis; his stepson Dennis Brewer; and his siblings, Buck Adams, Harold Gillespie, Glenn Gillespie and Sally Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gillespie (Bartley); his sons, Christopher Gillespie (Kathy) of Chillicothe and George Gillespie (Kathy) of Frankfort; his stepchildren, Neal Brewer of Greenfield, Bryan Brewer (Kim) of Greenfield and Anita George of Greenfield; his granddaughters, Sarah Shepherd (Logan) of Colorado and Emily Davis (Weston) of Chillicothe; his siblings, Donnie Baldwin of Ocala, FL, Polly Garrison of Washington, CH and Katy Baldwin of Ocala, FL; his sisters-in-law, Betty and Ruth Gillespie of Greenfield; and his stepdaughter-in-law Cathy Brewer of Hillsboro. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
