She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Palmer and Mary Jo Palmer (Hinkson); her husband John Carlton Shoemaker; her daughter Tonya Schlaegel; her great grandchild Dylan Trefz; her daughter-in-law Paula Shoemaker; and her siblings, Juanita Allen, Ruth Ann Mark, Danny Palmer, Roy Palmer and Wayne Ray Palmer.
She is survived by: her children, John Shoemaker, Jr. of Bainbridge, George Shoemaker of Luray, VA, Mark Shoemaker of Bainbridge, Debra Johnson (Gary) of Bainbridge, Brenda Ellis (James) of Chillicothe, Dianna Speakman (Chris) of Greenfield, Tina Gullette (Darrell) of Leesburg and Pamela Wightman (Tim) of Luray, VA; and her siblings, Lucy Lansing of Blanchester, Jeanette Gragg (Donald) of Chillicothe, Kathy Steinbrook (Mack) of Chillicothe, Jonda Whitt (Mike) of Chillicothe, Mike Palmer (Shellie) of Greenfield and Fred Palmer of Circleville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
