It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Bivens (Greenfield, Ohio), who passed away on April 12, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Bivens to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy and Sarah Myrtle Payne Bivens; his former wife Linda Goolsby Bivens; his grandson Caleb Helterbrand; and his siblings, Vernon Bivens, Ruth Bivens and Shelvan Butcher.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bowles; his children, Andy Bivens (Tara) of Washington, C. H. and Crystal Bivens (Dustin Vance) of Greenfield; his stepchildren, Terri Goolie (Mark) of Columbus and Steven Knisley of Westerville; and his sisters, Gertrude Paul of Greenfield, Mae Cook (John) of Greenfield, Elsie Knisley of Greenfield and Shirley Goddard (Gary) of Greenfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild.
In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Madison Mills Cemetery in Fayette County.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that a contribution be made in David's memory to the Greenfield Church of Christ, 955 W. Jefferson Street, Greenfield, OH 45123.
