He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cox and Martha Cox (Coonrod); his son Shannon West; his brother Rufus Cox; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Binegar and Russ Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Cox (Howland); his children, Dale Cox (Shannon), Chris Cox (Lisa), Allen West, Curtis Ferrell, Missi Adams (Brent), Tonya Newton (Steve), Karris Ross and Stephanie Clyburn (Jeremy); his siblings, Pete Cox, Albert Cox, Dan Cox, Saundra Binegar, Delores Brown and Rhonda Self; and his sisters-in-law, Carole Cox and Kathy Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
