He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hixon and Bessie Hixon (Stevens); his wife Elizabeth Hixon (Paugh); and his siblings, Ronald Hixon, Wesley Hixon, Willard Hixon, Doris Beechler and Ethel Ideana Hixon.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Hixon, Jr. (Crystal) of Frankfort, Cheri Hixon of South Salem and Devona Hixon of South Salem; and his grandchildren, Lucas and Lexis Hixon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
