She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Raymond and Sarah Herman (Beavers); her husband Orville E. "Bud" Karnes; her grandson John Andrew Smith, III; and her siblings, Russell Herman, Earl (Herman), James "Doc" Herman, Mary Fordyce, Lenora "Peg" Hale, Florence Erskine and Sarah Ruth East.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Karnes of Arcadia, FL, Raymond Karnes (Elsie) of Greenfield and Harriett Fout (Richard) of Greenfield; her grandchildren, Vanessa Penwell (Keith), Ashley Karnes, Brian Smith (Heather), Hannah Bivens (Rich) and Joseph Fout (Rachel); her great grandchildren, Kyndall Penwell, Kaden Penwell, Kamden Penwell, Brynlee Karnes, John Andrew Smith, IIII, Jade Andrea Smith, Emma Smith, Haleigh Smith, Westley Smith, Maxximus Bivens and Maggie Bivens; and her sisters, Clara Mae Elliott of Bainbridge and Jeannie Evans of Bainbridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
