It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melodie A. Sholes of Green, Ohio, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nesbitt and Kitty Smith; her husband Jimmie Sholes; and her stepfather Charlie Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Lori Hollenbaugh (Paul); her grandson Danny Vrba; her great grandchild Claire Vrba; and her close friend Carl Tell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schermesser Funeral Home (600 East Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, OH 44319). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
