He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thiemann and Clara Thiemann; his son Robert; and his brothers, Walter and Marlin Thiemann.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Robards (Kevin), Susan Charls (Jerry), Judy Butler (Christopher), Beverly Sicking (Mark) and Mary Troha (Gary); his grandchildren, Josh (Michelle), Eric, Alison Hayfer, Hannah, Kyle, Miranda Charls, Emily, Molly, Sabrina Butler, Katie Bean (Mark), Rachael, Erika, Jeremy Sicking, Andrew and Elyse Troha; and his siblings, Diane Rettig (Joe) and Bill Thiemann (Myra).
