He was predeceased by: his fathers, Paul Eckel and Hank Brinkdopke; and his brother Rick Brinkdopke. He is survived by: his wife Karen Eckel; his children, Kim Bennett (Matt) and Kelli Yeh (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Lauren, Connor, Sammi Bennett, Nolan and Noelle Yeh; his siblings, Larry (Phyllis), Marty Brinkdopke (Joan) and Nanci Goldberg; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Munninghoff (Ken), Kristy Monhollon (John), Kelly Hedger (Kelly G.) and Peggy Brinkdopke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matthew 25: Ministries or the charity of donor's choosing.
