He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Veerkamp; his children, Donald P. Veerkamp (Patricia), Kathy Eisenacher (David), Connie Kinney (Kelvin Patterson), Timothy Veerkamp (Jennifer) and Matthew Veerkamp (Kathy); and his brother Walter Veerkamp. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist School Education Fund, or to the Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg, IN.
