It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Gene DeWitt of Green Camp, Ohio, born in York Center, Ohio, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. DeWitt and Edna DeWitt Fausnaugh (Rockhold); his son Keith DeWitt; his grandson Joshua DeWitt; and his sisters, Janet Miller and Barbara Ritchie.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen DeWitt (Erwin); his sons, Kent DeWitt (Brenda) of Richwood, Kyle DeWitt (Gina) of Green Camp and Kirk DeWitt of Green Camp; his grandson Dylan DeWitt; his siblings, Tom DeWitt, Dan DeWitt, Richard DeWitt (Dick) and Judy Durham; his brother-in-law Nelson Erwin Sr.; and his daughter-in-law Jodi Bertke (Adam Bertke). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
