He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Howell and Martha Jones Howell; his daughter Joyce Tennant; and his siblings, Wanda Holland, Wilma Holland, Sylvia Jean Steinhoff, Connie Kanz and Vernon Howell (Tuck).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Wallace Howell; his children, Diane Ludwig (Brian) of Woodsfield, Donnie Howell (Lorraine) of Wingett Run and Gail Beymer (Ken) of Baltimore, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Lena McCaslin (Frankie), Kelly Wallace (Adam), Amy Figel, Beth Ludwig, Aaron Howell (Emily), Adam Howell (Ashley), Amanda Cramer (Andrew), Brad Tennant, Kayla Vannatta (Shane) and Samantha Beymer. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watters Funeral Home (37501 OH-78, Woodsfield, OH 43793). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
