He was predeceased by: his father Frank A. Long; and his siblings-in-law, Stephen D. Fisher and Pam Long. He is survived by: his wife Lori Long (Fisher); his children, Ariel Long, Matt Long (Sarah) and Leah Rogers; his grandchildren, Michael, Grace, Nicholas and Henry; and his siblings, Nancy Wentz (Tom) and Dave Long (Marilyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Steve's name be made to Ohio's Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
