He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin H. Metzger; his wife Helen O. Metzger; his son James Lee; and his siblings, Mildred, Joanne Metzger, Raymond, Clinton, Joseph and Charles Metzger.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna J.; his son-in-law Donald Lewis of Pataskala; his son William R.; his daughter-in-law Beth Metzger of The Villages, FL; his grandchildren, Carrie White (Adrian), James R. Metzger (Fiancé' Amanda Milstead) and Ben D. Lewis (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, Jacob, Olivia, Aidan, Adalynn and Audrianna.
