He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Sr. Minsker and Miriam R. Minsker; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Carol. He is survived by: his children, Brian (Barbara), Brenda (Robert LaRosa) and Rebecca (Joseph Lorenz); his grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick Minsker, Eliana LaRosa, Madeline, Annalise Lorenz, Louisa and Lilian Lankes; his wife Lois; and his sister Betsy (Bill Kincaid). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
