He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert and Lula Cassell; and his brothers, George Austin and James Albert. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, John Michael (Suellen Cassell), Mary Irene Cassell (Bruce Auster) and David Andrew Cassell; his grandchildren, Leigh Anne Cassell, Emma McHugh, Andrew Cassell, Hannah Cassell, Paul Cassell, Quentin Auster and Bryce Auster; and his great grandchild Declan Hogan.
