He was predeceased by: his parents, John Krier and Mary Krier (Godfrey); and his siblings, Joyce Hawk and Phillip Krier. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Krier (Stacy) and Jim Krier Jr. (Lesley); his grandsons, Benjamin Krier (Shannon) and Nathan Krier; his sister Kay Swickard; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Hawk and Fay Krier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
