It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert J. Murphy Jr. of Granville, Ohio, who passed away on December 27, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Murphy and Margaret B. Murphy Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murphy (Roney); his children, Dr. Kathleen Murphy, Marilyn Houck (Jeffery), Michael Murphy (Robin), Patrick Murphy (Cathy) and Roney Murphy (Nadine); his grandchildren, Amber, Ryan (Mariah), Sarah (Joshua), Kelsey, Shawn (Britnee), Shannon (Colton) and Collin; and his brother Frank B. Murphy (Kay). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Herb's name to St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
