He was predeceased by: his father Era Fortney; his wife Jane Fortney; his children, Daniel Fortney and Debbie Lindsey; and his sister Bonnie Gamble.
He is survived by: his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Karen Fortney of Livingston, TX; his daughters, Cynthia (Thomas Reaster) and Vickie (Gary Glover); and his sister Murielene Case of Miamisburg. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
