She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Edna Clark Hartless (Nicely); her daughter Janie Marie Dawson; and her brothers, James Richard Hartless, Harry Thomas "Tommy" Hartless, Bobby Leon Hartless and Melvin Hartless.
She is survived by: her husband Charles William Dawson; her children, Terry Dawson (Donna) of Newark, Brenda Welsh (Jim) of New Lexington and Sandy Layton (Kevin) of North Lewisburg; her grandchildren, Danielle, Matt, Lindsey, Kyle, Dillon, Alex and Breana; her great grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Carleigh and Ruth; and her sisters, Jean Ruton, Nancy Carr, Delores Nethers and Patty Bruner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
