He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patty; his sons, A. J. Gaul and Patrick (Shelby Gaul); his grandchildren, Maggie Anakalea (Adam), Hunter, Bailee, Henleigh and Murray; his siblings, Thomas Gaul (Lynne) and Susan Berg (David); and his parents, Albert L. Gaul and Phyllis C. Gaul.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions in Dave's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (http://www.t2t.org) or The Society of St. Vincent De Paul (c/o St. Edwards Church, 785 Newark Granville Rd, Granville, OH 43023).
