He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana L. Smith and Barbara Jean Hartley (Malloy). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his daughter Barbara "Barbi" Pond (David); his stepson Rob Heptinstall; and his grandchildren, Zachary Oder, Shae Heptinstall, Steven Heptinstall, Shawn Rostofer and Seth Rostofer. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
