He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Jones. He is survived by: his friend Hostetler; and his children, Charles Klaus (Patricia) of Omaha, NE, Kathryn Klaus Rizzoni (Giorgio) of Upper Arlington, OH and Rick Klaus (Krissann) of Aurora, IL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles's name to the Holden Arboretum.
