James E. McCartney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. McCartney of Grand Rapids, Ohio, who passed away on August 13, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Grover George; his son James McCartney, Jr.; and his sister Marlene Bowers. He is survived by: his children, Donald McCartney (Beth) and Sally Cavanaugh (Philip); his daughter-in-law Kathy McCartney; and his siblings, Joseph McCartney, Merle McCartney (Helen), Deanna Firsdon (Tom) and Joyce Roberts (Larry). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232, Grand Rapids.
