He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell and Charlotte; and his siblings, Dottie Keenan, Penny Musall and Roger.

He is survived by: his wife Traci; his children, Jessica Hazzard (Michael), Brandi Houston (Jason) and Russell Jr.; his siblings, Ronald (Esther), Becky Workman, Brenda Thorpe, Kristy DiRuggiero (Frank), Wendy Johnston (Dan) and Jessica Thorpe; his sister-in-law Emma Thorpe; and his pets, Stanley, Stella and Tucker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
