With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Eugene Taylor of Grafton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025 at the age of 67. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Eugene Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Virginia; his brother Roger; and his mother-in-law Eva Squires. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his daughters, Erika Taylor and Jessica Pool (Brandon); his grandchildren, Bryson and Sophia Pool; his godson David Kelley of Elyria; and his siblings, Judy Koman (Bill) of Waxahachie, TX., Pete (Donna) of London, KY., Randy of Elyria and David (Lisa) of Bluefield, VA.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A prayer will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (250 3rd St, Elyria, OH 44035).
In lieu of flowers Joe's family asks that those who wish make a donation to any local Coats for Kids Campaign as Joe always wanted to make sure that a child had a warm coat.
