He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest and Opal; his wife Leta; and his siblings, Sharon Harden, Phyllis Lewis, Gloria King, Jesse, Marvin "Buck", Mitchell, Richard and Roger.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemary Nails, Angela Ruffner (Tim), Renee Voiers and Jeffery Bower; his grandchildren, Ashley McNeely (Kyle), Sarah Asadorian (Nick), Derek, Allie Ruffner and Connor Voiers; his great grandchildren, Ella, Carter McNeely and Wes Asadorian; and his siblings, Janet Clark, Shirley Lieving (Allen), Roberta "Susie" Prouty (Tom), Beverly King (Terry) and Ken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Forrest's name can be sent to the Lorain County Dog Kennel 301 Hadaway Street Elyria, Ohio 44035.
