He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna Sue Wendel; his stepchildren, Kurtus Wendel and James Wendel (Denise); his son Josh Marshall; his grandchildren, Shandi Messmer (Kylor), Shelby Wendel, Dylan Wendel, Danne Wendel and Juliana Hall; his great grandchildren, Gibson, Monroe and Ramsey; his siblings, Mary Bradford, Anne Blanchard, John Wendel, Peter Wendel and Edward Wendel; and his friend Irene Bell. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Hope or Buckeye Hospice.
