He was predeceased by: his father James Russell Sears. He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his mother Marilyn Sears; his children, Joshua Sears (Laura), Emily Jones (Justin) and Kyle Sears (Joanna); and his siblings, Deborah Thomas and Randall Sears (Brianna).

Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home - Goshen (1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
