He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Yaegel and Gertrude Yaegel; and his father-in-law Al Read. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Yaegel; his mother-in-law Muril Read; his children, Jim Yaegel (Lisa), Stacey Hatte (Steve), Jeremy Pearson (Lyndsay), Matt Pearson (Kim) and Jonah (Jessi); his grandchildren, Andrew, Brian Yaegel, Davis, Jase Hatte, Jacob, Lucas Pearson, Chloe Pearson, Zac, Ashling Switzer, Leo, Logan, Elliot Pearson and Poppi; his siblings, Tom Yaegel (Margie), Denny Yaegel (Helen), Tessie Hayden (Jay), Lonny Yaegel (Theresa), Jean Ann Jackson (Michael), Lisa Martin (Jeff) and Lori Yaegel; his in-laws, Jeff Read (Janet), Kathi Walling, Linda Fightmaster (Phil) and Lisa Shafer; and his pet Lizzie.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (5890 Buckwheat Rd, Milford, OH 45150). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
