He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary "Kathy" Hudgens; his son James William Hudgens Jr. (Michelle); and his siblings, Dave, Steve, Melissa, Jean, Becky and Marcia.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
