He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sturgill and Margie Sturgill; his wife Irene F. Sturgill; his grandchildren, Julie Sturgill and Gavin Sturgill; and his siblings, Lena Chambers, Buck Sturgill, Junior Sturgill, Jack Sturgill, Tom Sturgill, Ray Sturgill and Wanda Collect.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Sturgill (Sandy) of Goshen, OH., Harold Sturgill (Zoe) of Pleasant Plain, OH. and Sandra Goldick (Paul) of Goshen, OH.; and his grandchildren, Brandon Sturgill (Traci), Timmy Plavsic, Chris Sturgill, Tiffany McCracken (Kyle), Joshua Plavsic, Maddie Sturgill, Rylee Spears, Brentley Sturgill, Eric Eifert, Gracie Plavsic, Leilah Sturgill, Isabella Sturgill, Kiarra McCracken and Killian McCracken. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home - Goshen Chapel (1668 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Myers Cemetery (6640 OH-48, Goshen, OH 45122).
