He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry T. Folger and Helen M. Pearson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Folger (Chaffins); his children, Deanna Collett (Keith) and Gary C. Folger, Jr. (Becky); his grandchildren, Taylor Collett, Hailey Collett, Isabella Collett, Brady Ober and Bethany Bertsch (Alex); his great grandchildren, Audrey and Eva; and his brother-in-law David Chaffins (Mary).
