He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Ann Hurst; his daughter Sherry Overbay; his siblings, Herb Hurst, Nelson Hurst and Martha Ann Carey; and his parents, Ernest Hurst and Martha Hurst.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Hurst and Jason Hurst; and his grandchildren, Mikey Overbay and Kristen Thoms (Phil). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
