He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Hillegonda Magdelena Bruynis (van Wyk); his children, Nick Bruynis (Gail), Lynn Broyles (Eric) and Chris Bruynis (Kathy); his grandchildren, Michelle Pendang (Scott), Elizabeth Bruynis, Susan Dehner (Kevin), Michael Broyles (Jennifer), Christopher Broyles, Jason Broyles (Amanda), Stephen Broyles (Alicia), Timothy Broyles, Virginia Smith (James), Heather Hoy (Carl), Danielle Hirschfeld (Clinton) and Lauren Witek (Chris); his great grandchildren, Kalena Pendang, Kalani Pendang, Sophie Broyles, Samuel Broyles, Aaron Broyles, Jacob Broyles, Jackson Broyles, Hudson Broyles, Jimmy Smith, Victoria Smith, Mason Smith, Addison Shifflet, Case Hoy, Reagan Hirschfeld, Benjamin Hirschfeld and Grant Hirschfeld; his siblings, Tine van Bemmel, Anton Bruynis, Henney van, Rida Bruynis, Joke Bruynis and Awoud Bruynis; and his parents, Nicholaas Giesbertus and Hendrika Bruynis (van Elderen). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
